Sweet snacks for dumpling lovers!
Ingredients (for two cocktails) :
Peel and dice potato. Cook in water until soft - about 20 minutes. Remove and mash it so that it gets the mashed potatoes texture while still warm, then leave to cool. Add egg and flour to the mashed potatoes and mix until getting smooth dough. Roll the dough to about 5 mm thick on a floured countertop and cut it into squares. Place a teaspoon of Vrtlari jam in each square, then carefully fold to make a small ball.
Meanwhile, fill a larger pot with water and bring it to a boil. Put each dumpling in boiling water and reduce to medium heat. The dumplings are ready when they rise to the water surface. Heat the oil in a separate pan. Add breadcrumbs and cook until dark and crispy. Put the dumplings in the breadcrumb mix and cover. When serving, you can sprinkle dumplings with sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, or anything else to your liking.
